Q: I read Sirens after reading most of your other books, and find it to be quite different to anything else you have written. It was more suspense/thriller without the action (say compared to Pale Saint or Dark Homecoming). What was your motivation behind this book? Would you plan to write another thriller like this? A: I agree, it's totally different than anything else I've ever done. It was kind of an experimental novel. I'm always trying to experiment, though that's always a risk: some people love experiments, others don't. I had spent a lot of time in the music and film business in Hollywood, so the novel was a reaction to that. Q: I have noticed that some of your books have different titles. I am in Australia and was wondering if Art Kills would be known under another title? Also in the forum on your website, are you able to put posting dates, so that way when you talk about a book being released and you say "next winter" it is easy to determine what winter you are talking about. A: Art Kills. That was a novella, actually, that was published on its own. I know it was published in England -- Orion did it. You should be able to find it on the English Amazon site. It has the same title as here in the U.S. As to pub dates. When they are definite I will post them as such. Until then, I'll try to use years so there won't be any confusion. For your information -- and others' -- the Web site is updated all the time, so assume there is nothing out of date. |
